Staying Warm with Chasing Windmills
It's almost December and I am beginning to wonder where the snow is in Denver? Temperatures are dropping but we haven't had snow stick around for longer than 24 hours. Last year around this time, I had a tiny newborn and we were up to our knees in snow. Regardless of the weather, we somehow managed to keep Winter warm by bundling her up in a bear suit (long live those bear suits!) and would walk for miles on end.
We have a few trips planned to the mountains this year and you can bet that we will be bringing these long johns from Chasing Windmills with us. When Sarah, the owner of Chasing Windmills and fellow Denverite mama and I connected, I jumped at the opportunity to partner. First off, these long johns are darling, light weight and super soft. Secondly, they are made out of merino wool which is sourced from New Zealand and Australia which totally tugs at my heart strings because I used to live in Australia. They also make blankets out of the same material which happen to be the perfect size for a wrapping a baby up while taking a stroller walk. It's been our go to blanket lately.
While it wasn't exactly cold enough to layer on this outing, Winter did get the chance to rock the cutest trapper hat by Oma + Jo. She had the red checkered one that was gifted to her when she was first born and it is so incredible to see it come full circle and see her in another one exactly a year later. I am really looking forward to seeing where this pair of long johns and trapper hat takes us---hopefully, it's to some snow!
