Meaningful Baby Shower Gifts

It seems like everyone I know is having a baby this spring and the baby showers this month are in full swing. I practically cried through my entire baby shower (I blame the hormones!) because I received some pretty meaningful gifts. I thought I would share some of my favorite baby shower or "just because" gifts for you and your mama friends. Happy Saturday everyone!

  1. The Birth Poster: This is a piece of art that you will keep forever. It is an illustration that is made to scale to show how long your baby was when he or she was born. At the bottom of the illustration it says the baby's name, birth weight, time and length. This poster currently hangs in our kitchen and I stare at it and then look at Winter all the time to compare how much she has grown. I can't believe she used to be that little.
  2. Meaningful Jewelry: I have this ring from Lisa Leonard designs and it means so much to me. The sunburst was designed to capture hope and boy do I call on hope often as a mother! During the hard moments, I find myself rubbing this ring as a way to calm myself down and remember to breathe. There is something so magical about gifting meaningful or personalized jewelry to someone you care.
  3. One Line a Day Journal: This is by far my favorite thing to look back on and smile. It's a journal that encourages you to write down one or two sentences a day for five years. I am on year three of mine and it is so amazing to read back and remember the small, insignificant moments that ultimately bring back so many memories to me as I read them. It's a must have for sure!!
Perry and I got engaged in Oaxaca, Mexico. It's our lifelong dream to raise Winter to be biliguagl and bicultural. What's so cool about the birth poster is that you can get it in any language. We chose Spanish!

What is your favorite gift to give to your mama and mother-to-be friends?
