Three Mantras You Need in Your Life

I am gearing up towards something huge and I cannot wait to share it with you (hint: it has to do with mindfulness). But, with new ideas or initiatives can also come self-doubt and worry. I can feel the negative self-talk turn on and I am trying to build myself up anyway that I can so I can continue to trust that inner voice inside of me that says I can do this.

If you have been following along with me for a while, you know how much mindfulness saved my life while battling depression. For me, mindfulness is more than a practice, it has become a way of life. I have many mindful moments throughout the day, including teaching mindfulness to my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and I love to talk about it on my Instagram stories.

I have been diving into the book You Have 4 Minutes to Change Your Life and there are a few things that I have read in this book that have resonated with me. In the book the author shares mantras to say while breathing that I have been loving and want to share with you.

The author suggests taking five breaths per mantra line. Say the mantra either silently or out loud on each out-breath. Close your eyes during each breath cycle and then open them again to peak at the next mantra line. By the time you are done, you will have taken 15 beautiful breaths.

I have been starting my morning with this routine and I have seen my confidence grow because of it. I love this mantra series and I hope you do too!

Mantra 1

I am not broken or in need of fixing

Mantra 2

I am worthy of being heard and being loved as I am in this moment

Mantra 3

My inner voice is wise, and I allow myself to listen to it without judgment
