24-Week Bump Update

Gosh, the days are flying by now that I am feeling better. I took advantage of this stretch of feel-good days by hiring us a nanny. Having one enables Perry and I the space to work uninterrupted by not having to juggle back and forth taking care of little Winter. 

Perry and I really wanted to spend a few days alone before baby comes so we decided to extend a wedding vacation that we have coming up so that we can enjoy some time together,  just the two of us. It really won't be long until it's the four of us. Eek!


 

BABY LAROCK BUMP UPDATE

HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU?

I am 24 weeks. I'm pretty sure Winter was able to feel the baby move recently when she was sitting on me with her head resting on my belly. We both looked at each other when the baby kicked and her eyes got so big. Because we are going to give birth at a birthing center we are needing to schedule some parenting classes at our center. Even though this is our second child, the center requires their patients to attend some courses on natural labor and what to expect before, during and after birth. 

HOW DO YOU FEEL PHYSICALLY? EMOTIONALLY?

Physically: Every day is so much better. I had a few weeks of really awful headaches but thank goodness those have subsided. 
Emotionally: I don't really know what's going on but I am experiencing some anxiety. It's that can't take a deep breath, panicked type of feeling and it really isn't fun. I even had a full blown panic attack the other day. I see my midwife this week and am also going to check in with a counselor to make sure I stay ahead of it.

MY GO-TO OUTFIT RIGHT NOW?

This dress has been on repeat. Other things I am loving is this thermal and the bodysuit that I am wearing in the photo.

ANY BODY CHANGES?

I am in a wedding and I tried on my dress. You guys, it barely zips. I feel like my rib cage has expanded and I am definitely noticing some more cellulite on my thighs. Oh well!

SLEEP?

I am taking less naps, about one a week now. And the pregnancy dreams are just so out of control! I have dreamed about zombies, unicorns and the latest, living on a boat. Oh, and somehow every single ex boyfriend I have had since Kindergarten has made a guest appearance in my dreams. Nothing too insane, they are just in the same coffee shop as me, riding a unicorn with me in the woods, or dressed as pirates. Haha. Gosh these dreams are nuts.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Feeling well enough to work out. I went to yoga last week and it was so good for the body and soul. I hope to go twice this week.

FOOD CRAVINGS OR AVERSIONS?

Have you gals tried the peach milkshake from Chick-fil-A? Holy crap, I want one so badly. Why does my craving need to fall on a Sunday when they are closed?! No huge aversions this week though I still don't love a ton of meat.
