28-Week Bump Update: Hello, 3rd Trimester

Hello, 3rd trimester. I am having so much fun thinking about how close I am to meeting this little nugget. The other day on Instagram I ran a fun little contest to see if anyone could guess the name. I was blown away by how many of you entered and got it right. If you are in the need for some gender neutral names, seriously check out the post. So many amazing ideas. So the hints were: The baby's name is gender neutral and it has to do with imagination. The top ten guesses were as follows: Wonder, Art, Charlie, Story,  Jude, Lennon, Phoenix, Bowie and London. One of those names is in fact the baby's name but we aren't revealing which one just yet. :)

I feel like this final trimester is all about welcoming the ebb and flow of excitement, doubt, uncertainty and gratitude. I feel a whirlwind of emotions on a daily basis and am really trying to tap into them, explore them and then let them be. Only three short months and then it's baby time, y'all!

BABY LAROCK BUMP UPDATE

HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU?

I am 28 weeks and am in my third and final trimester. I cannot believe in three short months I will get to meet the baby I have been daydreaming about for so long. Winter asks almost every day if the baby is ready to come out. She seems really excited too (although, I am sure there will be a moment when she requests if the baby can be put back in, hehe).

HOW DO YOU FEEL PHYSICALLY? EMOTIONALLY?

Physically: I took a mini nap yesterday but other than that, I am feeling really good. I get winded a lot easier now doing things like gardening, giving Winter piggy-back rides and basic house chores, but I remember feeling the same way with Winter around this time.
Emotionally: I am really starting to allow myself to lean into my emotions. Last night, Winter asked me to hold her like a baby and dance. While we were dancing, images of when she was little kept pouring into my head. We have grown a lot, her and I. I don't think she could ever understand how grateful I am that she is my first born, my teacher and my biggest accomplishment to date.

MY GO-TO OUTFIT RIGHT NOW?

I scored a bunch of things at the Nordstrom's sale that I am excited to wear both in the fall while pregnant and then postpartum. You can check out all of my top picks here.

I also got a few basic dresses from H & M that I have been loving, including this one and this one.

ANY BODY CHANGES?

I am huge! I was face timing with my grandmother the other day and her jaw dropped. She commented on how I wasn't even that big at 40 weeks with Winter. Haha! Watch out, this baby is on a mission!

SLEEP?

Sleep is touch and go. Some nights I sleep right through, while others I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I feel like I am in "get things done" mode. I have yet to hire a doula (yikes). I also am debating on whether or not I want a birth photographer.

Also, I have to go see the cardiologist to get cleared to be able to birth at the birthing center. I have Wolf Parkinson White, a heart-arhythmia that really bothered me in my 20s but hasn't seemed to be active in years. When it was triggered I would get really bad heart palpitations and experience dizzyness.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I get cleared so that I can hopefully experience the birth that I am dreaming of.

FOOD CRAVINGS OR AVERSIONS?

I am still loving ice cream but lately it's been avocado toast with nectarines on top! Sounds weird but its quite amazing!
