Watercolor Cactus Wallpaper

I was born and raised in Arizona. I don't know if its the desert sunsets, the shades of green found in the various types of cacti, or the mild winter time, but something about the desert has always spoken to me.

When I saw this removable wallpaper from Coloray Decor, I almost spilled my wine all over the phone while trying to zoom in on the details. It was love at first sight. It has made this living room feel so complete. The Peel&Stick adhesive made this wallpaper super easy to install. It took us about 45 minutes to get up from start to finish (including cutting out the holes for the light fixture and outlet). The best part about this wallpaper is that you can remove it and stick it somewhere else and the quality of the adhesive will remain in tack. No wall damage and no fuss!

When we originally started designing the living room (you can see the beginning design process HERE), we wanted to go for a Bohemian Zen feel. We knew that we wanted our space to be playful yet calm. Bohemain Zen marries the two genres by layering textiles; combining pops of color with saturated, toned down ones; and featuring natural materials like wood and sculptural greenery.

We scored this beautiful vintage peacock chair from Craigslist. It was the previous owner's mother's chair who bought it circa 1970. We got this beautiful couch from Burrow. The navy color compliments the red brick wall perfectly and it's so comfortable. We sit here often drinking coffee or reading a book while Winter naps. Also, it has a built in charging station and hidden USB cord. There are some days when I think I won't ever leave this couch!

The wood paneling on the wall covers the original windows to the house. I am still a bit undecided about how I want to decorate them. We have thought about taking the paneling off and using curtains to cover them, but the concrete blocks that are hiding underneath the panels appear quite challenging to work with. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them!

I still want to get a few more items for this space; but for now, it feels super good with new addition of the Awesome Cactus Wallpaper (that is literally the name of the pattern!)
