Weekend Links: Tres
Happy Friday, everyone. I am really looking forward to this weekend. I have a girls' night planned to celebrate a few of our birthdays. I feel really lucky because so many of my college friends from Arizona live in Colorado. Although we are spread across the metro, when we do get together, we have the best time.
Perry, Winter and I fly to sunny Arizona in a few days and I just went on quite the shopping spree (sorry, husband!) At the bottom of the post, I will do a carousel of all the things that I recently purchased.
Remember that in these Weekend Links posts, there will always be a 'Question of the Week'. If you respond to it in the comments below you will be in the running to win something from me that I will mail to you as a token of my appreciation for reading the blog.
Here we go!
*This post has affiliate links, meaning if you choose to buy something, I will make a small percentage of the sale so I can continue to write and support my family (at no extra cost to you). It would mean the world to me if you like an item you see, to purchase it directly through my link.
Weekend Links
1 // I launched a project very near and dear to my heart. It's a completely free mini mindfulness challenge on How to Cultivate Self-Love in 7 Days. It's not too late to sign-up. So if you're interested just subscribe to the blog and I will email it to you.
2 // Speaking of mindfulness, I am reading this book and am loving it. It's giving me so many great ideas and ways to incorporate more mindful moments into my day. *This book will be shipped to one lucky winner, so make sure you answer the 'Question of the Week' in the comments below.
3 // Winter's tantrums have been increasing by the day. She is really testing her boundaries and I have had to consult my old books from graduate school to remember how to deal with them. I am currently using The Happiest Toddler on the Block & No-Drama Discipline.
4 // This linen dress from Urban Outfitters makes me feel so casual yet so sexy. I currently have it in maroon. I loved it so much that I just bought another one in black and white strips. Can summer be here already?
5 // Did you guys watch the Avett Brothers documentary? It's so cute how they are brothers and absolutely just adore one another. If Winter has a sibling one day I would hope they share such a bond... or band!.
6 // I have been enjoying posting letterboard posts to Instagram (here and here). I would love to come up with a hashtag to collect them in one place. Anyone have an idea?
7 // I am dreaming of a vacation to Sayulita, Mexico for years now. Look at this Airbnb I found. Can this person please come help me decorate my home?
8 // My friend, Sophia @cultivatemotherhood started a new blog series called, "Chase Your Whole Self". It covers women opening about sexual abuse, depression, anxiety and more. I am guest writing to share more about my story with postpartum depression soon.
9 // How much fun would this toy be for Winter? She loves to throw things, so I think I have to get this for her.
10 // Question of the Week: Where do you see yourself in five years?
If I were to answer this, the very first thing that comes to mind for me is the word abundance. I hope in five years, I have an abundance of love, of freedom and of health. I see my family living somewhere other than Colorado and I picture myself working as a postpartum depression counselor. We would live on a large piece of land and spend most of our days outside.
