Eek! I know I may be jumping the gun a little on talking about the holidays, but last year I waited too long, and all the good stuff was sold out. So this year, I got a head start, scored the internet to bring you the best Christmas sweaters out there. *To shop, just click on a photo below. You can also hover your mouse to see where the item came from and the price.
Read MoreSo a few days ago, I decided to take a break from all the fertility stuff such as ovulation strip testing, temperature taking, and app tracking. Instead of doing those things first thing in the morning, I took a vow to write in my gratitude journal. I have been doing it for a few days. It takes literally 30 seconds and I write the first thing that comes to my mind. This is the journal I got to write in. It's only $14 and peppered throughout it are little quotes and insightful prompts.
Because Thanksgiving is around the corner, I wanted to expand on this list that I started and blog the top 10 things that I am thankful for. I encourage you to join me.
Read MoreWinter,
Today you are two-years-old.
You have mellowed out quite a bit in the last few months, yet you are still our mighty Winter. Your independence, language, and empathy have soared to new heights over the past few months. You are our little observer; taking in the world around you, watching others and patiently waiting to engage once you feel like the time is right.
You express so much love for those that care from you. You look sincerely into the eyes of those you love and provide us with the sweetest gestures of affection from holding our cheeks with both hands, saying "te amo" (which means "I love you" in Spanish) and asking for besos (which means "kiss" in Spanish) or to hold our hand.
Read MoreLast month, I decided to give Nordstrom's Trunk Club a shot (you can read my initial review, here). Trunk Club is a personalized styling service that sends you clothes right to your doorstep.
I liked it so much that I continued the service and just received my second trunk. My stylist, Jennifer, is excilent and I feel like she nails my style! I asked her to include a few pairs of jeans and fun and cozy sweaters. I am so ready for cooler temperatures and all the snow!
Here is what came in my trunk this time.
Read MoreI remember when Perry and I bought our first home, we used our bed as the couch, ate pizza on the floor and stayed up until the wee hours beaming with glee as we talked about our future. When we moved, we essentially purged or donated our every piece of furniture that we had (which was an eclectic mix of goodwill finds and Ikea) so that we could start over and buy pieces that we know would stay in our household for many years to come.
Read MoreWell, I wish that my blog and Instagram account would just write themselves. Man, life would be so much easier as a full-time working mother if it did. But because it doesn't, I spent one week tracking how much time I spend on my social media business to give you guys an idea of what it takes to keep things going on a weekly basis.
Read MoreA few weeks ago, I shared on this post how Perry and I started making "To Be" lists, which are primarily a tiny list of adjectives that you want to embody that day. These lists have helped me wrap set intentions and take the pauses that I need when I find myself become reactive.
One day while I was taking a three-minute pause to reflect on how I was speaking to my husband, It dawned on me that the lists that I was creating also mirrored images of how I now see myself as a mother.
Read Morehese past few weeks, I have noticed myself become so intensely in tune with how I spend my time with my daughter. I already get emotional when I think how one day she won't be the only child that has stolen my heart (and I am not even pregnant yet). I want to breathe in as many moments with her before our family size does grow. One of my most favorite times of the day with Winter is before bed---it's my time to practice mindfulness with her, wind down from the day by stretching and to spend uninterrupted time with my girl.
Read MoreAt our baby shower, my sweet friend suggested that we ask the guests to bring a book with a handwritten message to our baby in it. I am so grateful that she suggested it because Winter and I spend a lot of time reading together and when I read those sweet messages from my friends and family, I get a lovely rush of joy.
Since her shower, we have slowly been building up her book library (buying books in both English and Spanish because we are rasing her bi-lingual). I may have overdone it this Halloween, but below is a collage of all the books we are currently reading.
Read MoreI love the smell of the crisp autumn air, the leaves changing and blowing in the wind, and last but not least, all the fall dresses. This dress is from Vida Moulin, a boutique from my hometime, Phoenix. I wore it this past weekend to a wedding, and it made for the BEST dancing dress. Perry and I had a blast dancing, and I loved how the light weight of this dress made it easy for me to twirl around and salsa dance.
Read MoreI love writing about marriage. I think it is going to be so cool to read these post out loud to Perry as we sit on our front porch, rocking in our homemade chairs that Perry built, sipping tea and reminiscing about the phase in our marriage that challenged us to grow the most together.
I love all the bits of our marriage, from the intimate, most sacred conversations that we have to the real, raw and broken bits of excess turmoil, animosity and beautiful chaos.

It's where I get the majority of paying collaborations. And if you're not an influencer, just disregard this first paragraph :)
Well, the other day, I had the opportunity to shoot with Marshalls. It was one of those "pinch me" moments. When they accepted my entry for the campaign, I about fell out of my seat. The either picked you to feature home decor or fashion for the gig and they decided that I was to focus on style. They sent me a long list of this year's top fashion trends + styling tips, and I thought that they were so good, that I wanted to share it with you all.

How can three seconds completely transform your entire way of being? I must have watched this video a thousand times, and I can’t stop crying when it hits the 50-53 seconds mark. The way her hands touch both of our faces at the same time, it’s like she knows.
Read MoreI have really been struggling with being a working mama this year. I am not exactly sure why it seems to be getting worse, but I feel myself clinging onto the moments that I have at home with Winter, counting down the days until summer, and racking my brain with ways that I can become a stay-at-home mother.
Read MoreSo, I recently signed up for my first Trunk Club with Nordstroms. If you don't know what it is, you really should!! Basically, it's a personalized styling service that sends you clothes right to your doorstep. When you sign up, you take a style survey, add in your sizes to your profile and from there, you are linked to a stylist.
My stylist's name is Jennifer---and you guys, she nailed the first trunk!!
Read MoreWeekends may as well be the best invention in the whole wide world. It's a way to slow down, enjoy ignoring the to-do list and spend quality time with family. I have been doing a ton of reading on how I can bring mindful living into my everyday life as a working mother. I have noticed that mindfulness has helped me to stay centered, calm and grateful for the here and now. I am less reactive and a whole lot more patient. I feel less overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood and I notice myself having thoughts of gratitude.
Read MoreEek! I am getting so excited about Halloween that I can hardly stand it. I feel like this is the first round of holidays that Winter can take an active part in and I plan to make each holiday as festive as possible for her.
Below is a roundup that I did on how to decorate your home to be spooky and festive, while still being able to let your bohemian vibes shine through.
Read MoreWe decided in June to go for it. We were finally ready for baby number two! Winter was getting much easier, we were about to embark on a two-week vacation in Hawaii, and my postpartum depression really seemed to be going easy on me. Life was good.
Read MoreI am loving the cooler weather and with fall right around the corner, I have been loving transitioning slowly out of my summer gear. My favorite go-to is wearing a bell sleeve top with a trusty ole pair of jeans.
Bell sleeves can be dressed up or down and work perfectly from running errands with your kids to going on a date night to your favorite restaurant. Below is a round up of some of my current favorites. And most of them are on sale!!!
